“Youth Day” Swamy Vivekananda Birthday
It is believed that the thoughts we evoke in young minds marks the future of the Nation. For the same, ‘Youth day’ is celebrated on 12th January of every year amongst all the NMO units. The day is marked in the honor of Swami Vivekananda Ji as the date is recognized to be his birthday.
It is celebrated as it is felt that the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the youth. NMO, considering Swami Vivekananda Ji as the ideal for the organization, the event is celebrated amongst all the units all over India with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Every unit has the various ways to celebrate the event.
For the young minds to know the importance of ideology while they work for a non-profit organization it is necessary to have a basis of ideology and great perspectives. Considering Swami Vivekananda Ji as the ‘Youth ideal’, we believe his birth day to be the best day to nourish the young minds.
